For those of you who don’t know, I have a great way of getting a clear idea of what something should look like. I was a graphic designer at a graphic design agency. It was my day job to make sure the graphics on our print publications were the best they could be. I had a great idea of what we were going to be doing with the book. It was a book called, “The Book That Changed the World.
For those of you who don’t know, John Updike is a professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He’s also a great editor for the magazine. You can see his work in the book.
And he wrote it. So, I spent a few years working on this book with him and a bunch of other people. And then I put the book out in hardcover. I think it sold maybe a million copies.
