I use c as my primary language for web development and c# (the C# language) for mobile apps.

Because mobile apps are an ever growing field, the need for a consistent programming environment makes the use of c the best choice for most of my apps. Another advantage is that I think c is an easy language to learn, because it is a general purpose programming language.
C# is a general purpose programming language, but it’s not very widely used on mobile apps. At the time of its release in 2008, it was only supported on Windows Mobile, and even then Windows Mobile was pretty much a niche platform. This language is now supported on a number of different platforms including Android, iOS, Blackberry, and Linux.
I’m not saying c is not a good choice. I think c is excellent for general purpose programming languages, mostly because there is very little to get in the way of making a good project.
Personally, I think c is the gold standard for C, but it would be nice to have other options. I know it’s a bit clunky, but if you’re not a C programmer, you’re probably not going to be interested in learning c++.
